We collect information from our users when CAD models are requested. This information is limited to the IP address of the gateway used to access VirtualCAD, and the CAD models being accessed. The information collected is used to provide outside organizations with aggregate (never individual) statistical information about our user base and usage patterns. This gives us information that is useful for developing new features and services that meet user needs, as well as helping manufacturers listed in VirtualCAD.com with their marketing efforts.

For research purposes, we may also conduct occasional online surveys. If a user chooses to participate, they will be prompted to answer a series of online questions. Individual responses are kept confidential.

A Registered User can make RFQs to distributors servicing their area from the VirtualCAD site. The User's e-mail address must be provided as a minimum requirement in order to receive quotes directly from the distributors. The User will also have a chance to provide other optional order/shipping information to assist in the quoting process.

We employ cookie technology to help you download CAD models faster. When you request a CAD model, the file format, and any other required parameter, is defaulted using a cookie that was previously passed to your computer. A cookie is a string of information that is sent by a Web site and stored on your hard drive or temporarily in your computer's memory. This avoids the potentially time-consuming task of selecting your desired CAD file format, and other parameters, each time you request a model from VirtualCAD. We do not use cookies to identify you as an individual. We also use Cookies to provide the 'Remember Me' functionality at Login.

We reserve the right to change this privacy policy at any time, without notice. Since some users choose not to register in order to make use of the system, we can not contact them to notify them of the changes. We may opt to notify the users that have chosen to register. We do suggest that you check it periodically.
